I somewhat enjoyed this book. I found that this was one of those typical YA Paranormal books, e.g. there's a mysterious guy, girl starts to like him, guy tries to push her away saying he's dangerous, girl doesn't care and they eventually fall in love. The beginning didn't keep me very interested. It kept me reading but I didn't really find myself wanting to pick it up again. I think part of the reason why is the writing style. The writing style is more on the juvenile side. I'm not sure if the author did that on purpose since the main character is a teen.
The character development was good. I know people that have similar traits. I really fell in love with Daniel and his sarcasm. I love sarcastic people. I really loved Daniels last name, Kalbi. Reason why? Kalbi is grilled meat in Korea. I couldn't help giggle when I found out about his last name and it made me crave for kalbi.
Halfway through the book was when it started to pick up a bit. Some strange things started to happen. A lot of things where going on and I couldn't really tell what was going to happen and what was actually going on. The ending left me really curious and wanting to read the next book, The Lost Saint.
